Sheila Tejada

Dr. Sheila Tejada, a ’93 UCLA Computer Science alum, has been chosen to serve as 2020 Grace Hopper Co-Chair. In 1994, she was one of around 500 women to join the very first Grace Hopper Celebration in Washington, D.C.

In addition to her service at the Grace Hopper Celebration, Dr. Tejada serves as the Director of the Computing Savvy Research Group, an organization at the University of Southern California that she started, which develops artificial intelligence and robotics for education. Moreover, she serves as a commissioner on the Los Angeles Transportation board, advising the city on the effects of artificial intelligence on transportation, and also provides further support to her tech community.
